Job summary

A reputable heating contractor based in the UK is seeking a self-employed Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer for ongoing contracts. The role involves performing annual landlord gas safety checks and handling breakdown work on domestic gas appliances. Ideal candidates will have ACS qualifications, Gas Safe Registration, and necessary tools. The position offers a guaranteed day rate of £240 plus OOH work.

Qualifications

  • Must have ACS qualifications including cookers and fires.
  • Experience with diagnostics on domestic gas appliances required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12s).
  • Perform breakdown work on domestic gas boilers and appliances.
  • Manage pre-booked appointments via PDA.

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a well established Heating contractor operating within the Local Authority sector.

They require a self-employed Domestic Gas Service & Breakdown Engineer to carry out annual landlord gas safety checks and breakdown work covering contracts in GU / PO with OOH work available if desired and paid on a guaranteed day rate.

Salary

£240 Day Rate plus OOH.

Work Type
  • Annual landlord gas safety checks (CP12s) and breakdown work on domestic gas boilers and appliances.
  • All pre-booked appointments via PDA.
  • Working days: Monday, Wednesday & Friday – 3 days per week.
  • Contract Length: Ongoing.
  • Payment Terms: Weekly one week in hand.

  • Experience servicing, repair, fault finding and diagnostics on domestic boilers and gas appliances.
  • ACS qualifications including cookers and fires.
  • Gas Safe Registration.
