Job summary

Mears Group PLC is recruiting a Gas Engineer in Leeds to service, repair and install domestic gas appliances across housing stock. You will ensure safety, compliance and high-quality work, with a 42.5-hour week and 24-hour callout commitment.

The role requires City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance and ACS certification. A full UK driving licence and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Gas Installation and Maintenance.
• Hold ACS certification (e.g., CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1).
• Experience servicing, fault finding, and installing domestic gas appliances.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, repairs and installations of domestic gas appliances.
• Diagnose faults and complete remedial works safely and efficiently.
• Perform landlord gas safety inspections and issue CP12 certificates.
• Ensure compliance with gas regulations and internal procedures.
• Respond to emergencies and document work on digital systems.
• Collaborate with tenants, housing officers and teams.
