Job summary

LiveWest is seeking a Gas Engineer to maintain and improve heating systems across properties, with a mobile role focused in the Bath area. You will diagnose faults, service boilers, and perform installations while upholding high safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

  • CCN1 (Domestic Core Element) and CENWAT1 (Domestic Gas Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters) are required.
  • CKR1, HTR1, LPG, Part L, Part G, Unvented Hot Water, OFTEC-or-equivalent are desirable.
  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing boiler faults, annual servicing, and installation work is expected.
  • Health and safety procedures knowledge to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Proficient use of mobile technology for on-site information and reporting.

  • On-Call Participation: Take part in an out-of-hours on-call structure and attend meetings and training as required.

As a Gas Engineer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving our properties, ensuring they meet our high standards and customer expectations.

This role is a mobile role, working predominately in the Bath area. You will ideally be based within a 30 minute commute of this patch.

This role is being offered on a full/part time permanent/fixed term basis working 40 hours per week.

About The Candidate
  • Post-Qualification Experience: Proven experience in the gas industry, with a strong understanding of responsive maintenance.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing boiler faults, performing annual servicing, and carrying out installation work.
  • Customer Focus: Experience working in customers' homes, demonstrating a professional and positive approach.
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of health and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • IT Skills: Proficient in the use and application of mobile technology.
  • Driving Licence: A full, valid UK driving licence is essential.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with LPG and Oil systems is desirable.

Please note: This role is not eligible for a Cos. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK for the full duration of the role without a CoS.
