Places for People is hiring a qualified Gas Engineer to service, maintain and install gas systems in domestic properties within your local area. You will work to Gas Safe regulations and health and safety standards, with a company van and fuel card provided.

This permanent role offers a stable workload in your area, overtime opportunities, and a range of benefits including a pension, a bonus scheme and sick pay. You may be on an on-call rota as required.

Qualifications

• Gas Safe registration and ACS qualifications are required.
• Experience as a Gas Engineer in social housing or domestic properties is preferred.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsabilités

• Carry out gas servicing, maintenance and installation across domestic properties.
• Work in line with gas safety regulations and health and safety standards.
• Participate in an on-call rota when required.
• Manage van stock to maximise first time fix rates.
• Collaborate with teams to meet service targets.
• Record work activity and compliance documentation.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying outgas servicing, maintenance and installation across domestic properties
• Working in line with gas safety regulations and health and safety standards
• Participating in an on call rota when required
• Managing van stock to maximise first time fix rates
• Collaborating with teams to meet service targets
• Recordingwork activity and compliance documentation

What your day looks like

• A structured schedule covering servicing, maintenance andinstallation work
• Travelling between jobs inyour company van
• Working independently or with a team of other tradespeople
• Engaging directlywith Customers in their homes
• Completingwork efficiently while maintaining compliance and safety standards

Where you'llwork

You will beworking across:

• Occupied homes
• Empty (void) properties
• A range of domestic propertieswithin your local area
• Environments involvingvulnerable Customers

EssentialCriteria (you need to meet all of these to be shortlisted)

• ACSgas qualifications and Gas Safe registration
• Experienceworking as a Gas Engineer, ideally within social housing or domestic properties
• Full UK driving licence
• Due to the area this patch covers, you will need to be basedwithin NN8 postcode orwithin 10 miles of this

Nice to have (not essential)

• Experienceworking to service KPIs
• Strong fault finding skills
