Self-Employed Heating Engineers - Service & Repair Contract

Location: WD Postcode

Contract: Housing Association

Pay: Up to £275/day + Call‑Out Rates

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Length: Ongoing

Example Recruitment Group is currently recruiting on behalf of a leading national heating contractor, working within the local authority sector. They are seeking experienced, self‑employed heating engineers to join an ongoing service and repair contract with a local Housing Association in Hertfordshire.

The Role
  • Carry out Landlord Gas Safety Checks and central heating repairs (all parts supplied).
  • Work within a small local radius.
  • Minimum commitment of 3 days per week (Monday-Friday).
  • Pre‑booked appointments managed via the client's PDA system.
  • Full PPE and kit provided.
  • Long‑term, ongoing contract.
Rates & Payment
  • £250/day (8 am - 5 pm).
  • Optional Call‑Out: 1 week in 4
  • £550/week or
  • £50 per weeknight, £150 per weekend day.
  • Payment Terms: Weekly, 1 week in arrears.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified heating engineer.
  • Current ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1.
  • Own van and tools.
  • Calibrated Flue Gas Analyser.
  • £2m Public Liability Insurance.
  • Valid DBS check (dated within 12 months).
