Job summary

Saltire Facilities Management is seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to service, maintain and repair gas appliances across social housing and private properties in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. You will work independently with support from an experienced office team to ensure homes remain safe, warm and compliant.

The role involves diagnosing faults, completing planned maintenance to a high standard, and building strong relationships with tenants and clients while adhering to Gas Safe regulations

Qualifications

• Gas Safe Registered required.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Professional, customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently while being a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Servicing and repairing gas appliances.
• Diagnosing central heating faults and carrying out repairs safely.
• Completing planned maintenance to a high standard.
• Building professional relationships with tenants, clients and colleagues.
• Completing all job paperwork accurately and on time.
• Participating in standby cover (once per week on average).
• Following Gas Safe regulations, company procedures and Health & Safety standards.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service.

What You'll Be Doing

• Servicing and repairing gas appliances
• Diagnosing central heating faults and carrying out repairs safely and efficiently
• Completing planned maintenance work to a high standard
