Gas Engineer

Contract : Key Account Network

Location: Covering Salisbury, Basingstoke, Andover, Warminster, Bournemouth, across to Bridport (and surrounding areas)

Hours of work: 40

Contract Type : Permanent

We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team, delivering high-quality maintenance and installation services across commercial properties.

This is a full-time role with fixed hours (Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm) and a clear overtime structure. You’ll work on a steady schedule of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks.

Job Description

In this role, you’ll play a vital part in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of commercial heating, combustion, and HVAC systems.

You’ll also be responsible for installations and repairs, as well as supporting a broad range of building services maintenance tasks, including plumbing and mechanical systems, all while maintaining compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver planned and reactive maintenance for commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC systems.
  • Carry out general building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
  • Respond to out-of-hours callouts as part of the client’s rota, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
  • Undertake installations and repairs of gas and heating systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
  • Diagnose faults and perform routine maintenance and installation work.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and compliance standards within Facilities Management (FM) and commercial property environments.
  • Travel between sites as required, using company-provided van, phone, and PDA.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and adhere to health and safety protocols.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
  • Significant experience in commercial gas, combustion, and heating-related building services maintenance, including fault finding, routine maintenance, and installation work.
  • Strong background in Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) for building services.
  • Proven track record within Facilities Management or commercial property environments.
  • COCN1 or CODNC1, TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1.
  • CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1.
  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Plumbing, HVAC, or related Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Gas Safe Registered, IPAF / PASMA.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
