Job summary

Global Brand Group in Watford is seeking a seasoned Garment Technologist to translate design concepts into precise technical specs and fit strategies. You will partner with designers, product developers, and international factories to ensure garments meet high standards of fit, quality and performance.

You will lead fit sessions, review samples, and maintain grade rules across both Men’s and Women’s categories, ensuring timelines and compliance are kept.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience as a Garment Technologist
• Strong technical knowledge: pattern cutting, fabrics, garment construction, measuring, fittings
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to thrive under pressure
• Confident leading fit meetings and communicating with overseas factories
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Sportswear experience is a bonus
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset

Responsibilities

• Bring design concepts to life through expert technical specs & workbooks
• Lead fit sessions, review samples (Proto PPS Shipment) & drive commercial improvements
• Maintain grade rules across Men's & Women's categories
• Ensure garments meet quality, safety & compliance standards
• Build strong relationships with internal teams, global supply bases & labs
• Troubleshoot production issues and keep timelines on track
• Champion quality, durability & performance at every stage
