A heritage organisation in Hastings is seeking a skilled horticulturist to manage various horticultural tasks, including maintenance, planning, and operations of machinery. The ideal candidate will have an RHS level 2 in Horticulture or equivalent experience and a valid driver's license. Benefits include generous holiday, pension, and access to tools. Join us in honouring servicemembers' legacies by maintaining their memorials.
You'll handle a variety of horticultural tasks, including mowing, hedge cutting, weeding, pruning, and pesticide application. Planning and organising daily tasks to meet the specific needs of each site will be key, along with managing stock for plants, tools, and safety equipment. In addition to maintenance, you'll oversee the safe operation and care of machinery and vehicles, carry out routine administrative duties, and help visitors find graves or memorials. You'll also ensure health and safety standards are followed, helping to create safe, calm, and respectful environments.
