Gardener / Groundsperson – Vacancy (Live‑Out)

An Exciting opportunity has become available for a self‑motivated and experienced Gardener / Groundsperson to work within a small team on a stunning 250 Acre private country estate located in Surrey.

This opportunity would suit an enthusiastic, friendly and well‑presented individual, with good communication skills and who is happy to work with the team or alone.

Estate Overview

The Estate extends across three areas: the gardens surrounding the house, the Parkland (enclosed by a deer/rabbit fence), and the wider estate. The gardens include three Greenhouses, a walled garden, a vegetable garden, water features, lush lawns and flower‑filled borders. The Parkland features a Pinetum, Rhododendrons, mature trees and a 3 Acre lake, while the wider estate contains grass fields, woodlands and heathland.

Responsibilities

• Border care, lawn mowing, hedge trimming, pruning of trees and shrubs
• Greenhouse duties
• Operation of ride‑on mowers, compact tractors on the Parkland and estate, and chainsaws for woodland work
• Adherence to safety procedures and use of machinery with proper certifications

Qualifications & Requirements

• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional appearance
• Experience with horticultural machinery; certificates or experience required, training can be given
• Full UK driving licence
• References and a clear CRB check

Working Hours

07:30 to 16:30 Monday to Friday, with one hour each day for breaks.

Annual Leave
