Qualifications

  • Horticulture qualification – NVQ 2 or RHS level 2 required.
  • Full driving licence essential.
  • Experience managing annuals, perennials, shrubs, etc. is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain gardens to the required standard.
  • Collaborate with the Head Gardener on garden upkeep.
  • Perform tasks in accordance with the Club’s best practices.

Skills

About the Role

As a Gardener at The Royal Automobile Club, you'll be working on 350 acres of breathtaking landscape. This is a unique opportunity that encompasses not only general garden maintenance but also elements of soft and hard landscaping and the creation of bespoke planting schemes.

Working Hours
  • Monday – Friday : 6:00am-2:30pm
  • Every 6 weeks : 2 half days on Saturday and Sunday
Responsibilities
  • Maintain gardens to the required standard
  • Collaborate with the Head Gardener on garden upkeep
  • Perform tasks in accordance with the Club’s best practices (beds, borders, hedges, lawns, and containers)
    About You
    • Horticulture qualification – NVQ 2 or RHS level 2
    • Full driving licence essential
    • Experience managing annuals, perennials, shrubs, etc.
    • Skilled in identifying plant pests and diseases
    • Proficient in using handheld machinery
    • Comfortable working in all weather conditions
    • Experience with early start times
    • Knowledge of plant names and identification, Latin preferable
    • PA1 & PA6 Qualification
