Job summary

Hawley Garden Centre in Dartford is seeking a hands-on team member to help prepare and erect garden buildings, including sheds and summerhouses, assist with picking orders, and load and unload deliveries. You will work closely with colleagues to maintain a tidy yard and deliver friendly, helpful customer service.

Carpentry skills are preferred, but training will be provided for keen learners. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm, with occasional weekend days; the role requires a practical,

Qualifications

• Experience in carpentry preferred, but training will be provided.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely.
• Good eye for detail and commitment to high quality customer service.

Job description

Preparing and erecting garden buildings; this includes sheds, summerhouses, log cabins to fully lined and installed garden rooms, picking orders, load and unload trucks, help maintain yard cleanliness and have flexibility to take on different roles if the needs arise.

You will work as part of a team and have a good attitude to taking instruction and working with others. You will have the ability to lift reasonably heavy loads. You will have a good eye for detail and need to offer a high quality of customer service.

Carpenter skills and experience preferred, however, if you are keen to learn then training will be given.

Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours: 8am -4pm with occasional weekend day
