Join our brand-new MOT Testing Team at Fibre Networking Solutions Ltd – the UK’s Best Vendor/Supplier, as recognised at the 2024 UK Fibre Awards! We’re a rapidly growing company with big ambitions and we’re now expanding into our own fleet management and public vehicle services.

As part of this growth, we’re setting up a dedicated garage offering tyre fitting, servicing and MOT service at our new Cheltenham-based unit. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified and experienced Operations Manager to be part of something new, with excellent career development potential.

We are seeking a driven and hands‑on Operations Team Manager to play a pivotal role in the development and day‑to‑day management of our newly established garage unit. This role directly supports the Operations Director and is central to the growth, leadership and performance of the garage teams, with specific oversight of our Workshop, Servicing, MOT, and Tyre Fitting departments.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual to contribute to the successful launch and leadership of our first in‑house garage, which will be responsible for the maintenance of our own company fleet, while also offering MOT and tyre services to external customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead in the setup and operational rollout of the garage unit, ensuring all compliance, tooling, and staffing needs are met.
  • Manage and support the daily operations across Workshop, Servicing, MOT, and Tyre Fitting departments.
  • Ensure the efficient scheduling and servicing of the company fleet to minimise disruption to daily works.
  • Support recruitment, training, and development of the operations team alongside our internal recruitment team.
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality and continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Director to implement best practices, uphold policies, procedures and legal requirements.
  • Gradually take on operational responsibilities to free up the Operations Director.
  • Monitor KPIs and productivity.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality service delivery and timely turnaround times.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships related to tyres, parts, and tools.
What We Offer
  • A permanent, full-time position in a growing and award‑winning company.
  • The chance to be part of a brand‑new operation from the ground up.
  • Internal career progression and training opportunities.
  • A supportive and forward‑thinking working environment.
  • Overtime opportunities.
  • Flexible working patterns available.
Requirements
  • Experience in leadership and management in a garage setting or fleet setting.
  • Full UK driving licence required.
  • Good understanding and passion for vehicle management.
  • Physically fit, safety‑conscious, and detail‑oriented with a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
