Job summary

• Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Installing and servicing a variety of garage equipment.
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and system faults on-site.
• Carrying out scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Managing van stock levels and ordering replacement parts when needed.
• Communicating clearly with customers and providing technical support.

Job description

We're looking for a skilled Garage Equipment Engineer to join a long-established and well-respected name in the garage equipment industry. This is a field-based role with a great mix of hands-on technical work, national travel, and customer interaction.

What you'll be doing

• Installing and servicing a variety of garage equipment, including:
  • Vehicle lifts
  • Brake testers
  • Compressors
  • Wheel balancers & tyre changers
• Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and system faults on-site
• Carrying out scheduled inspections and preventative maintenance
• Managing van stock levels and ordering replacement parts when needed
• Communicating clearly with customers and providing technical support where required
• Keeping accurate records and reporting back to management

What you'll need

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Garage Equipment sector
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Basic IT confidence (tablets, service reports, etc.)—training provided if needed
• Full UK driving licence (clean)
• Willingness to travel across the UK, with occasional overnight stays
