The Future Scientists Programme is a two‑week course for students eager to explore biology, chemistry, and physics through experiments, demonstrations, and guided research. Teachers guide students as they design investigations, collect and interpret data, and present their findings with clarity. The programme promotes critical thinking and examines new scientific developments and the ethical questions they raise. Students collaborate on group challenges that mirror real‑world scientific research, developing problem‑solving and teamwork skills. Through their guidance, teachers inspire students to deepen their scientific understanding and nurture the curiosity and skills needed to excel in science.
The Director of Studies
SBC at Eton College offers international students aged 12‑16 the unique opportunity to study at one of the world’s most prestigious schools. Founded in 1440 by King Henry VI, Eton College has a rich legacy, having educated 20 British Prime Ministers and numerous authors, scientists, actors, Olympians, and explorers. The historic campus provides a truly inspiring environment, where students can immerse themselves in a setting that has shaped generations of leaders and visionaries—and where you will play a key role in shaping an unforgettable summer experience for them.
You will be paid a gross amount of £815 per week, paid weekly in arrears and subject to statutory deductions. This amount includes holiday pay at 12.07% of your basic weekly pay, where your basic weekly pay is £727.22, and the holiday pay element totals £87.78.
A normal working week for Teachers will consist of up to 45 hours per week over six working days.
All staff will receive one full day off per week.

All members of staff employed by SBC will be expected to bring certain key qualities to the operation. There must be a professional interest in working with young people and particularly international children. Safety and welfare of the students is of paramount importance at SBC and a practical enforcing of this belief should be a quality exhibited by all staff.
We expect all SBC staff to be able to communicate effectively with our students, using an appropriate level of language to suit the group. SBC staff must demonstrate patience, empathy and an emotional awareness towards students both individually and within a group setting. We expect all staff to take control of students and to manage discipline and behavioural issues in a firm, positive and constructive manner.
