Job summary

Elite Contract Labour Suppliers Limited is seeking a reliable Driver / Furniture Assembler to join our team in the United Kingdom. You will deliver furniture to customers and assemble items at their premises, ensuring safe handling and professional service.

You will drive, load and unload, and work as part of a team or independently to meet delivery schedules while maintaining a tidy vehicle and complying with health and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Valid driving licence.
• Experience assembling or installing furniture desirable.
• Good knowledge of safe manual handling practices.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.
• Physically fit, as the role involves lifting and moving furniture.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Own tools desirable.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Deliver furniture and other goods to customers' homes and commercial premises.
• Load and unload furniture safely, working as part of a team where required.
• Assemble a range of furniture including beds, wardrobes, tables, sofas and other household items.
• Install and position furniture according to customer requirements.
• Ensure furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage during transportation and installation.
• Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times.
• Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.
• Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle and work area.
• Follow all relevant health and safety, manual handling and company procedures.
