Job description

Fun runs, skydives, challenge events, sponsorships, corporate partnerships and community fundraising, this is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys building relationships and inspiring people to support a cause that matters. We’re a close-knit, supportive team where you can see the difference your work makes every day, and we’re ambitious about developing new ideas that generate vital income for hospice care.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Community, Corporate and Events Fundraising Officer to join our Fundraising team. This is an exciting opportunity to use your people skills, creativity and drive to help local people receive free, specialist palliative and end of life care.

Reporting to our Senior Community, Corporate and Events Fundraiser, you’ll help generate income through community fundraising, corporate partnerships and challenge events. Building strong relationships with supporters, community groups and local businesses, you’ll identify new opportunities, deliver fundraising projects and provide outstanding supporter stewardship.

This varied role offers the chance to work across a range of activities, from corporate partnerships and community engagement to challenge events and supporter communications, helping to generate vital income for Princess Alice Hospice.

About you:

For you, people are at the heart of fundraising. Whether you're building relationships with local businesses, supporting a community fundraiser, or helping someone take on a challenge event, you'll enjoy inspiring others to support a cause that matters.

You’ll be an enthusiastic and organised individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills. You may already have experience in fundraising or be able to bring transferable skills from sales, account management, business development or customer-facing roles. You'll be confident managing a varied workload, identifying opportunities, and delivering an excellent experience for supporters.

Most importantly, you'll share our values, be passionate about making a difference, and enjoy working as part of a supportive team. A full driving licence and flexibility to attend occasional evening and weekend events are essential.

If you’re a proactive relationship-builder who enjoys bringing people together and wants a rewarding role where your work makes a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.

As well as our competitive salary package and the opportunity to make a real difference, we offer a range of excellent benefits, including:

  • 27 days’ annual leave, plus recognised public holidays – rising to 29 days after 5 years’ service and 33 days after 10 years’ service (pro rata for part time)
  • Access to Pension Scheme
  • Training support and development opportunities
  • Free onsite parking
  • Subsidised meals at onsite canteen
  • Employee Assistance Programme – promoting staff wellbeing
  • Access to Blue Light Card discount
  • Excellent changing facilities (with showers)
  • Wellbeing - we provide a programme of activities, opportunities and guidance to inspire and support our employees to live a healthy life, at home and at work

Discover the difference you can be.
