A community-focused charity is seeking a Fundraising Manager to lead fundraising strategies, manage relationships with donors, and oversee a small team. The successful candidate will have significant fundraising experience and a proven track record in income generation. This is a hybrid role involving 1–2 days in Birmingham, offering a unique opportunity to drive impactful fundraising initiatives.
Eden Brown Charities is delighted to be partnering exclusively with the wonderful Groundwork UK to appoint a Fundraising Manager on a 12‑Month Maternity Contract. Groundwork takes practical action to create a fair and green future in which people, places, and nature thrive.
They support local communities and businesses to build capacity and resilience as this is vital if they are to tackle hardship, achieve a just transition to net‑zero and help nature recover in a way that reduces inequality and leads to better work and healthier, happier lives.
As the Fundraising Manager you will drive forward Groundwork UK's fundraising strategy to grow income through a variety of audiences – including charity of the year partnerships, trusts and foundations, major donors, and the wider public.
You will maintain and grow relationships with existing donors through careful stewardship in addition to building networks of new supporters, working collaboratively across the organisation and particularly with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and the rest of the Fundraising and Partnerships team. You will scope out opportunities, write funding proposals, and develop and manage a pipeline of prospects, actively fundraising to maximise stakeholder relationships and meet Groundwork's fundraising targets. You will also lead a small team.
You must have had experience in Fundraising with a demonstrable experience of working widely across fundraising disciplines including individual giving, charity of the year partnerships, trusts and foundations and staff fundraising. You will have experience of growing Fundraising income streams with a focus on individual giving, legacies, major donors. You will also have led a fundraising team and volunteers.
