Job summary

Centre for Sustainable Energy in Bristol is seeking a motivated Fundraising & Development Intern for a 12‑month fixed term. Hybrid role with 2 days in the office and 3 days remotely.

You will support trusts and foundations fundraising, donor stewardship, and campaign activity while developing essential development skills. Key tasks include research into funders, preparing funding proposals, and coordinating with teams to gather impact data.

Qualifications

• Undertake desk-based research to identify trusts, foundations and grant-makers aligned with CSE's objectives.
• Maintain accurate funder records and research findings in Beacon CRM.
• Assess funder eligibility, strategic fit and application requirements for a strong funding pipeline.
• Assist with EOIs, funding applications and proposals to support fundraising.
• Coordinate with colleagues to gather project information and impact data for submissions.
• Draft funding summaries, case studies and other donor content for campaigns.
• Support introductory meetings with prospective funders and partners.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Expressions of Interest, applications, and proposals.
• Collaborate with colleagues to source project information and impact data.

• Coordinate meetings with funders and partners for introductions and follow-ups.
• Assist with planning and delivery of the Share the Warmth campaign.
• Support donor stewardship through Beacon CRM and Mailchimp.
