Job Description

The Fundraising Coordinator will play an important role within the Partnerships department, working across the fundraising and communications functions to support the team to deliver our multi-year fundraising strategy and enable significant organisational growth.

This role will report to the Head of Fundraising and support the fundraising team working across the following income streams: corporate partners, trusts and foundations, university partnerships, major donors and individual giving. In addition, this role will support our communications team with their messaging to our internal and external stakeholders.

A key focus will be supporting the development and delivery of our Individual Giving programme, helping to grow our base of individual supporters through engaging campaigns, communications, and excellent supporter care.

Responsibilities

Working across the Partnerships Team the coordinator will support:

Income Generation
  • Conduct prospect research across all income streams to identify new partners and funders.
  • Complete due diligence and respond to incoming fundraising enquiries.
  • Support the development of compelling proposals and presentations for prospective funders.
  • Support planning, delivery, and evaluation of Individual Giving campaigns (e.g. Big Give, email and digital campaigns).
  • Process legacy pledges and gifts accurately and promptly.
Stewardship and Reporting
  • Deliver excellent supporter care to donors and partners — responding promptly to enquiries and thank-you messages.
  • Support donor journeys and stewardship plans to retain and grow support.
  • Assist with partner engagement and stewardship events (e.g. visits to schools).
  • Support the creation of impact stories and case studies that showcase our work.
  • Assist with reporting requirements for funders and partners across all income streams.
Cross-Team Collaboration
  • Liaise with colleagues across Programmes, Finance, and Operations to ensure excellent stewardship and reporting.
  • Support the Partnerships Team with administrative tasks (e.g. monitoring inboxes, calendar coordination).
  • Collaborate with the Communications team to ensure consistent, impactful messaging across channels and champion our brand.
Compliance and Systems
  • Maintain accurate donor and partner records in our CRM (Salesforce) and shared drives.
  • Produce regular reports on individual giving performance and donor data.
  • Ensure all fundraising activity complies with GDPR, the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Practice, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of fundraising systems and processes.
Role Requirements
Essential

  • Proven experience in fundraising and/or communications, such as donor engagement, campaign delivery, or content creation.
  • Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and workstreams.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, compelling donor materials, newsletters, and other external communications.
  • A collaborative team player who can build positive working relationships and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
  • Experience working within the education or youth sectors.
  • Familiarity with fundraising databases (e.g. Salesforce) and CRM best practice.
  • Knowledge of trends in philanthropy and individual giving.
