This is a full-time role that combines office-based work with time spent in the community, attending fundraising events and supporting our valued donors and volunteers. Support the Lancashire Teaching Hospital Charity team including Baby Beat to implement multi-year strategies to increase income and
support for them across all areas of fundraising, ensuring donors and supporters receive appropriate stewardship, as well as providing retail administrative, charity administrative and finance support.
You will often be the first point of contact with donors, customers, volunteers, supporters, Trust staff and suppliers.
This post is predominately office-based working with the need to work in the community at fundraising events along with supporting and stewarding the charity’s supporters and donors.
You’ll need to be flexible, enthusiastic, and confident when working with the public, as you’ll sometimes represent the charity at community events.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in a supportive and fast-paced charity environment, where your contribution will truly make a difference.
A car and driving licence are essential for this post as the post holder will be required to drop of fundraising resources, meet with donors and fundraisers, support fundraising events and attend third party fundraising activities and functions across Lancashire.

Providing general fundraising support across all areas as needed
Support the charity team to grow income through excellent
stewardship and relationship support. This will include
supporting wider fundraising activities and leading on lower value
fundraising initiatives
Provide administrative support for whole Hospital charity team
(including Baby Beat), including but not limited to:
To log donations and generate acknowledgement letters via the
donor database
To assist with general finance tasks and the counting and banking
of monies in accordance with Standing Financial Instructions Administration and processing of various digital donation and event
entry platforms such as Just Giving, Enthuse and Trybooking
Contributing to donor recruitment, donor retention, and the development of fundraising programmes and events.
Baby Beat Shop administration including but not limited to the
processing of shop income and expenditure, ordering of all stock,
stock pricing, stock control and annual stock takes to ensure
maximum profitability. Responsible for producing monthly retail reports as required to support financial accounting and audit requirements

Disclosure and Barring Service checks
If the role you’ve applied for requires a Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check we will administer this on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment, or over 3 months. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered. Currently the charges are - Basic DBS check £26.40 Standard DBS check £26.40 and Enhanced DBS check £54.40. You should be aware that if you are successful in obtaining a position that requires a DBS check but later withdraw your application, you may be required to reimburse the cost of the DBS check.
