Job Description

The Freelance Fundraiser will play a key role in supporting Creative Health Camden’s fundraising strategy. Working closely with the Artistic Director, you will identify and pursue funding opportunities from public bodies, trusts, foundations, and national programmes.

You will contribute to building a sustainable funding base that supports both project delivery and organisational development.

Responsibilities
  • Research and identify suitable funding opportunities from public funders (e.g. Arts Council England, National Lottery Community Fund) and charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Prepare funding applications and supporting materials in collaboration with the Artistic Director.
  • Provide strategic advice on fundraising priorities and timelines.
  • Maintain records of applications, deadlines, and outcomes.
Role Requirements
Essential
  • Proven track record of successful fundraising for arts, culture, or health-related organisations.
  • Demonstrable experience in securing grants from Arts Council England, the National Lottery Community Fund, and charitable trusts and foundations.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, persuasive funding applications.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Understanding of arts, health, and community engagement contexts.
Desirable
  • Experience of successful Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) applications.
  • Knowledge of the Camden arts and community landscape.
  • Strategic insight into income diversification and partnership development.
  • Experience of successful local government and the NHSfunding applications.
