Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust (ACT) in Cambridge is seeking an Engagement Fundraiser to build relationships with patients, families, hospital staff and the wider public. The role focuses on warm, supporter-centred conversations and growing long-term income.
You will recruit and welcome new regular givers, encourage consent for future communications, and ensure an excellent supporter experience from the first interaction, with comprehensive training provided.

We are looking for a passionate individual to build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, Hospital staff and the wider public.
Don't worry if you're new to this, the team will provide comprehensive training to equip you with all the knowledge you need. Your enthusiasm is the most important thing!
Position: Engagement Fundraiser
Location: Cambridge, Biomedical Campus
Salary: £26,000 to £28,000 per annum, pro-rata (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: 2 x part time roles as part of a job share (18.75 hours per week) or 1 x full-time role (37.5 hours per week)
Contract: Fixed Term 9-12 months

This role is about more than raising funds. You will help people feel connected to a hospital that matters deeply to the community, showing how their support can make excellent care even better. Every conversation should be warm, honest and supporter-centred.
You will support the face-to-face fundraising activity by recruiting and welcoming new regular givers, encouraging consent for future communications, and ensuring an excellent supporter experience from the first interaction.
In this role, you will help grow long-term, sustainable income while keeping supporters at the heart of everything the charity does.
