Job summary

Bruin is recruiting for a Manager to join their Funds Tax team in London. You will advise private equity clients on UK and international tax matters, take end-to-end ownership of corporate and partnership tax processes, and supervise junior team members. The role values a broad tax background with an interest in funds.

Visa sponsorship is available. You will work with colleagues across the UK Alternatives practice and internationally to support growth and delivering client solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering corporate tax advisory and compliance work.
• Experience in funds or a related area is advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to manage client relationships, lead teams and communicate technical tax issues clearly.
• High standard of written technical work and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Advise private equity clients on UK and international tax matters, including corporation tax and partnership tax.
• Support clients with tax issues arising from fund structures, investments, transactions and ongoing operations.
• Own corporation tax and partnership tax processes from end to end, including reviewing work prepared by junior team members.
• Research legislation, case law and HMRC guidance to resolve technical tax issues.
• Manage your own portfolio of private equity clients and act as a trusted day to day tax contact.
• Lead client meetings and calls and liaise directly with HMRC.
• Manage, coach and develop junior team members.
• Work closely with colleagues across the UK Alternatives practice and international KPMG offices.
• Support business development and contribute to the continued growth of the private equity tax practice.

We are recruiting for a well known international advisory firm for a Manager to join their growing Funds Tax team who advise Private Equity, Hedge Fund and Credit Fund clients.

My client is very open to candidates from all sorts of different tax backgrounds and while existing fund experience is useful, it's not essential. Much more important is an interest in the subject matter.
