Our goal is to ensure every student has the chance to succeed and develop essential skills for life, work, and further education.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Functional Skills Tutor to deliver high-quality Maths tuition to students, primarily focusing on Functional Skills (Level 1 & 2). The role involves working with small groups of learners, building their confidence in numeracy, and helping them achieve their qualification goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and structured Functional Skills Maths lessons (Level 1 & 2).
• Assess students' individual needs and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
• Provide tailored support and resources to help students progress.
• Track and monitor students' progress, offering constructive feedback.
• Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

• Experience teaching Functional Skills Maths or equivalent.
• A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy and patience when working with students who may face additional challenges.
• Enhanced DBS check (we can support the process if needed).
