Functional Skills Tutor

Location – Hillingdon
Rate – £25 – £35 per hour

Responsibilities

As a Functional Skills Tutor, you will deliver dynamic and interactive lessons in functional skills subjects such as English and Mathematics. You will tailor your teaching approach to accommodate the diverse needs and learning styles of your students, assess individual learner strengths and areas for improvement, develop personalised learning plans, and inspire and motivate students in a positive and supportive learning environment.

Functional Skills Tutor Requirements
  • Teaching Qualifications – minimum Level 3 Education & Training or above and hold a Level 2/GCSE qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience teaching Functional skills in English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with students of all backgrounds.
  • Creative approach to teaching.
  • Passion for helping others succeed and a commitment to inclusive education.
