Job Title: Functional Skills Tutor

Location: Wiltshire – Centre based

Salary: up to £35,000 + fantastic benefits package

Type: Full Time, 12‑month FTC

Duties

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2, to groups of learners.
• Develop tailored training / workshops and adopt a more personalised approach for individuals requiring more support.
• Identify learner’s strengths and weaknesses through initial assessment diagnostics and support them accordingly.
• Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
• Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
• Ensure each learner’s progression is recorded efficiently.

Essential Criteria

• Must hold a minimum of 3 years’ experience in delivering Functional Skills English and Maths.
• Hold a recognised teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
• Must hold own Functional Skills qualifications in Maths and English.
• Must hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above, or Functional Skills equivalents.
• Enthusiastic individual who is able to make a real impact and make learning exciting
• Happy to deliver face‑to‑face sessions to learners.
