A dedicated education provider is seeking a part-time tutor to support vulnerable students in Bolton. The successful candidate will create and deliver tailored lessons to enhance engagement and attainment for pupils. This role requires a QTS or equivalent and a passion for helping students improve their educational journey.

Overview

Are you a dedicated and experienced educator with a passion for helping young minds thrive? We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a tutor in Bolton. You will make a real difference to the lives of vulnerable, disengaged and at-risk young people. The successful tutor must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lessons to bridge gaps in KS3 or KS4 pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels.

Prospero's mission is to raise the standard of support for vulnerable young people throughout the UK. We are seeking a passionate, creative and holistic tutor, eager to provide academic support and guidance to students in a one-on-one or small-group setting, improving their educational journey.

Contract/Position Details
  • Location – Within the community or pupils\' home
  • Position – Tutor
  • Type of work – Contract
  • Start date – ASAP
  • Duration – Ongoing
  • End date (if applicable) – Ongoing
  • Contract type – Temporary
  • Full-time/part-time – Part time
  • Minimum rate of pay – £25 per hour
  • Hours – Working hours can differentiate, depending on the convenient timings of the family
Experience, Training and Qualifications
  • QTS or equivalent or tutoring experience
  • Possess UK classroom teaching experience preferred but not essential
  • Be creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
  • Have experience working with SEND or disengaged pupils
Eligibility
  • Hold the right to work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child DBS certificate with online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child-related references
