Our client is looking for an experienced educator with a strong commitment to supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role is based at Thurrock GAPS, where learners present a range of complex needs including global developmental delay, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, and social communication challenges. Learners progress at a slower pace and require additional support with communication and emotional regulation.
The position is for a Functional Skills Maths Tutor, delivering Entry Level 1-3 and Level 1-2 Maths to small groups of up to 12 high‑needs learners. This is not a mainstream teaching environment and requires someone patient, adaptable, and confident in managing diverse needs.
A responsible and professional tutor who can plan, deliver, and differentiate the Functional Skills maths curriculum effectively, including:
Delivery should be creative, engaging, and aligned with learner goals. A dedicated Quality Assurance Team will support continuous improvement and KPI achievement.
