Job Overview

We have an amazing opportunity for an Assistant Manager (Functional Skills), to work for one of the country's leading Educational Training Providers as part of HMPS. You will support the Education Manager with effective management of the curriculum of Functional Skills, ensuring the needs of learners are met, and as part of the senior management team you will be responsible for maximising contract performance, delivering quality provision and exceeding the expectations of partners and learners.

Location: Hemel Hempstead

Salary: From £35,000 per annum (negotiable)

Qualifications and Experience
  • A teaching qualification at Level 5 or above
  • Level 4 Award in Internal Quality Assurance or be willing to work towards
  • Evidence of continuous professional development together with the ability to develop and manage an achievement‑focused team
  • Working knowledge of Ofsted (EIF)
  • Persuasive and supportive leadership and staff management skills
  • The ability to identify and implement continuous improvements to the curriculum in line with the needs and demands of learners
  • An innovative approach and proactive style together with highly developed communication skills and the natural ability to influence others
  • Successful experience of managing curriculum development and change, quality systems, processes and the performance of teaching staff in ways which have improved learner outcomes
