• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging Functional Skills English, Maths, and some ICT sessions online and face-to-face.
• Manage a caseload of apprentices, tracking progress and communicating with stakeholders.
• Provide remote support for independent Functional Skills study.
• Work closely with delivery teams to maximise attendance and engagement.
• Conduct moderation and assessment sampling in line with IQA standards.
• Support exam bookings, invigilation, and learner completion.

Functional Skills Teacher - Maternity Cover

Location: Hybrid - Home Based with Regional Travel (Western Region)
Contract: Temporary, Fixed-Term (Approx. 12 months)
Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Salary: Up to 35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Start Date: ASAP / As agreed

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Functional Skills Teacher to deliver high-quality English, Maths, and some ICT provision to apprentices across the Western region. This hybrid role combines remote delivery, home-based working, and on-site teaching, with all business travel, mileage, and accommodation fully covered when required.

The Role
