Job summary

Ingeus is seeking a Functional Assessor in Chelmsford to apply clinical expertise and deliver high-quality assessments for the DWP. You will work in a flexible, hybrid model with training to accreditation, and a clear career path within Ingeus and the APM Group.

The role offers a starting salary of £47,853, potential £2k uplift in year one, up to 10% quarterly bonus, and 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays). Apply if you have clinical registration and strong report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• NMC/HCPC/GPHC registration as applicable for the role.
• Strong communication and critical-thinking abilities.
• Proficient with typing and computer software for detailed reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out functional assessments with claimants face-to-face, video, or telephone to assess daily living activities.
• Ask focused questions, listen actively, and gather accurate information.
• Produce high-quality, structured clinical reports for the DWP.
• Collaborate with clinical colleagues to ensure fair assessments.
