Job summary

Medacs Healthcare is hiring a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scunthorpe. The role involves conducting PIP assessments, analysing evidence, and producing detailed reports within a hybrid work model.

The position requires an NMC-registered Nurse or HCPC-registered Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist, with at least 1 year of UK clinical experience. Expect structured hours, progression potential and ongoing clinical support.

Salary: £39,500 - £41,000 per annum + OTE up to £47,150

Contract: Permanent, full-time

As a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor at Medacs Healthcare, you'll complete Personal Independence Payment (PIP) functional assessments to understand how health conditions affect everyday life. This is a non‑hands‑on clinical role centred on clinical reasoning, analysis and report writing.

The hybrid working model combines home working with time at one of our assessment centres, offering predictable hours, long‑term stability and a healthier work-life balance.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

Essential:

• Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN, RNLD), Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist


• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions


• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)


• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Desirable

• Experience in functional assessment or advisory roles


• Confidence in producing high‑quality written clinical reports
