A dynamic benefits platform is seeking a Fullstack Engineer based in Greater London. You will work on backend-leaning features and collaborate across product, design, and engineering. Responsibilities include building and shipping features, ensuring security, and owning projects end-to-end. The ideal candidate has strong experience in modern web applications, especially in Python and TypeScript. The role offers a competitive salary, flexible benefits, and a vibrant startup culture.
We're not your average benefits platform; we're the unordinary force that uplifts people's lives. Our technology is the link that connects the entire benefits ecosystem, creating better outcomes for employers, employees, brokers, and providers.
Our mission is clear : we're here to create a world where everything operates at its very best, ensuring that every employee receives the support they need to live life to the fullest, both at work and beyond.
As a backend leaning Fullstack Engineer at Ben, you’ll help build and scale the features that power our platform from benefits browsing and payments to provider integrations and smart admin tooling.
You’ll take features from idea to production : understanding the problem, scoping solutions, building, shipping, and making sure what you deliver truly solves the need. You won’t just be handed tickets, you'll contribute to shaping why we build things, how we build them, and what the future of our product looks like.
You’ll collaborate across product, design, and engineering to make decisions that matter : data models, integration patterns, API design, scalability choices, and how we support a system used by hundreds of thousands of people. At Ben, everything is connected so what you build helps power payroll workflows, provider integrations, notifications, and everything in between.
And you’ll do all this as part of a fun, fast-moving startup, spending 2 days a week with the team in our Barbican office.
That’s okay, careers aren’t linear. If you have a strong technical foundation, solid backend experience, and enthusiasm for fullstack engineering in a fast-moving startup, we’d love to hear from you. Just make sure you feel confident contributing meaningfully from day one.
It’s important to us to practise what we preach when it comes to our benefits. We know what good looks like and we want to provide the best for our team, with a comprehensive and inclusive benefits package. This means you have a choice over the things that are most important to you. You can see a selection below, along with the full offering here.
