Role Overview

As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you’ll work within a cross-functional squad alongside other engineers, QA professionals, designers, and product managers. Projects will include working on the rebuild of a B2C system, which includes optimising scheduling tools, improving how service offerings are communicated, and improving ecommerce component aimed at increasing conversion rates. Further down the line, you also contribute to our B2B product suite, with an ML component designed to enhance decision-making and automation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain features across our web applications and APIs using React (Next.js & Vanilla) on the front end and Node.js (Express) on the back end.
  • Implement responsive, accessible, and performant UI components using Tailwind CSS and Typescript.
  • Work closely with product and design to scope, plan, and deliver solutions aligned to business goals.
  • Write modular, testable, and maintainable code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines and development practices.
  • Monitor, debug, and optimise performance across the full stack.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience building full stack web applications.
  • Familiarity with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Express, and relational databases (PostgreSQL and MySQL preferred).
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, authentication, and session management.
  • Experience with Git and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker) and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Understanding of the trade-offs of architectural and design decisions.
  • Experience with Sequelize or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of security, accessibility and performance best practices.
  • Exposure to agile or lean delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with observability tools.
