Job summary

Rehability UK Support Services Ltd is seeking compassionate Support Workers to assist adults with learning disabilities and mental health needs in our care services. You will support daily living, community activities, and personal care as required, with emphasis on clear communication and safety.

A driver is preferred; sponsorship is not offered. Training and development opportunities are provided to help you progress within our personalised career paths.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex needs, or Mental Health, Autism or Learning Disability, as per service requirement.
• Willingness to learn and flexible attitude.
• Strong communication skills with different service users.

Responsibilities

• Engage service users in meaningful opportunities and activities.
• Support in the community through social activities or shopping trips.
• Assist with personal care and hygiene when required; support with meals and daily tasks.
• Provide medication administration support if required.
• Assist with attending medical appointments and social activities.

We are a well-known Healthcare group with reliable, dedicated, and professional staff within our services already! We care for adults aged 19 - 60 who have learning difficulties and Mental Health issues.

Rehability UK specializes in supporting adults with complex needs (including, but not limited to, Autistic Spectrum Condition, Learning Disability, and Mental Health) to live their best possible life. Your Role

Our Support Workers are our greatest asset. By understanding the needs of people you support, you’ll provide exceptional care that can change their lives. Your role will involve, however, not limited to:

• Helping people we support to engage in meaningful opportunities and activities – empowering them to enjoy a great life filled with unforgettable experiences.
• Getting involved in support in the community as social activities or shopping trips.
• Ability to communicate is essential, considering individual communication needs, and helping people communicate effectively with others.
• Assisting with Personal care and hygiene (if required)
• Medication administration (if required)
• Support with preparing and cooking meals. Cleaning, shopping, planning daily activities
• Support with attending medical appointments
• Support with social activities

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience with complex needs, or Mental Health, Autism or Learning Disability, as per service requirement
• Male or Female as per service requirement, and ideally a driver
• Willingness to learn
• Flexible
• Communication
