Job summary

Reading School District is seeking a Food Service General Worker for a full-time, 6.5-hour shift, Monday–Friday, 10-month position. You will assist with meal prep, food service, serving, and sanitation under the Food Service Director.

Responsibilities include following HACCP guidelines, maintaining production records, handling cashiering via PrimeroEdge, and ensuring safety for students with allergies. Strong customer service and basic math needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; prior food service preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and production records accurately.
• Serve food and maintain sanitation per HACCP guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine tasks in food preparation as directed by recipes and records.
• Serves food to students and staff according to procedures.
• Receives, stocks, and rotates food items and supplies.
• Ensures food safety and cleanliness; follows allergy safety rules.
• Assists in cleaning and sanitation of food prep areas and equipment.
