Your new company
This local South Gloucestershire school is largely popular within the community for its friendly and welcoming atmosphere. This is a mainstream one-form entry school that provides an exciting and relevant curriculum to motivate children to learn collaboratively as well as independently. They incorporate meditation as part of the school day. This is a small school that follows the national curriculum, with around 30 children per class. This position will start after the Easter half-term, continuing until the end of May, with the chance of being extended until summer.
Your new role
This is an ideal role for those who have a passion for early years primary school teaching. You will be taking on full teaching responsibilities, including planning and delivering lessons. It is essential to make lessons fun and engaging, ensuring the needs of each pupil are met. Class sizes are reasonable, and experience dealing with challenging behaviour is required. You should be available to start after the Easter break, ready to hit the ground running and commit until the end of the academic year. This role is full-time and long-term, starting in Term 5.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you must possess Qualified Teacher Status. Experience teaching EYFS/KS1, especially in reception, is preferable. You should be a good team player, possess good time management skills, and have strong behaviour management abilities. If you are not a qualified teacher but have recent experience working with children, other roles may be available. We will contact you upon application to discuss further.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid to scale from day one and join a successful team with ongoing training and development. Additionally, you can participate in our Hays Refer a Friend Scheme, which could entitle you to receive £250 in high street vouchers.
