Job summary

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Maths within a Secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and confidence teaching up to GCSE level.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
• Effective classroom management and organisational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high expectations for learning and behaviour.
• Two recent education based references.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4.
• Support students in developing confidence with number, algebra, geometry, and problem solving.
• Differentiate learning activities to meet a range of abilities and learning needs.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback that supports improvement.
• Prepare students for assessments and GCSE examinations.
• Create a positive and focused learning environment that encourages participation.
• Contribute to departmental planning and the sharing of best practice.
