Job summary

Caremark Cheltenham & Gloucester is seeking a Care and Support Worker to help customers with personal care, mobility and daily living tasks in the community and at their own homes.

You will support with dressing, washing, meals, light chores, and maintaining records while promoting dignity and independence under supervision. Training and ongoing support are provided to ensure high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Dignity and independence in daily care.
• No tasks for trained nurses; care provided by non-nurse staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with getting up, dressing, washing and bathroom routines.
• Help with mobility and use of personal aids and equipment.
• Care for clients who are sick or require feeding support.
• Provide care for terminally ill clients.
• Encourage mental and physical activities through talking, reading, outings, hobbies and recreations.
• Make beds, light cleaning, and empty commodes; tidy spaces.
• Inspect, launder and mend clients' clothes.
• Prepare and serve light meals; clear up after meals.
• Read and write reports; participate in reviews and training.
• Adhere to Caremark policies and report changes to supervisor or manager.
• Encourage independence of clients wherever possible.
