A popular special school in the UK is seeking a Class Teacher to work with pupils with moderate to complex learning difficulties. The role involves delivering engaging activities and collaborating with teaching assistants. Class Teacher with SEN1 allowance
Start date: As soon as possible or after February half term (23/02/2026), subject to pre-employment checks.
Salary range: Main pay scale (M1-M6), plus SEN1 allowance.
Full Time (32.5 hours per week)

We are excited to offer the above opportunity at our popular 4 -19 special school for pupils with moderate, severe and complex learning difficulties, that include challenging behaviours and SEMH.

You must be able to deliver exciting and engaging activities and be a good communicator, able to lead the class, work flexibly and be able to manage and work together with our teaching assistants. You must be able to teach within our MLD, SLD or Complex needs classes, which will be discussed further at interview.

You will have skills and understanding of a range of teaching and learning strategies to make a positive impact on the children’s progress, considering their learning styles, communication and sensory needs.
