Job summary

Protocol Education Limited in Downend is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Support Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming primary school on a full-time basis. You will support pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs, modelling positive behaviours and building relationships to boost engagement and confidence.

As a key member of the school team, you will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children or young people with behavioural needs.
• Calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Ability to work proactively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group behaviour support.
• Supporting pupils with social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
• Promoting positive behaviour strategies and emotional regulation.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
• Encouraging engagement, confidence, and independence.
