Job summary

Fluor Corporation seeks a Software Engineer (Full Stack Developer) to deliver end-to-end applications using .NET and modern frontend frameworks from a hybrid Newcastle-area site in the UK. The role focuses on scalable, high-performing software for life-cycle project management within energy technology.

You will work with system engineers, product owners and SMEs to create unique products, applying Agile and Kanban practices, Git workflows and cloud services. Hybrid work 3 days per week from site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related Technology discipline, or equivalent demonstrable work experience.
• Experience with back-end development frameworks and technologies such as C# and .NET.
• Experience with front-end development frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Cosmos DB.
• Experience developing object-oriented software and applying standard engineering practices, including unit testing.
• Experience using development tools such as Git, GitHub, and cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, scalable code using C#/Type Script programming languages.
• Developing end-to-end applications using Angular/.net.
• Developing technical interfaces, specifications, and architecture with strong attention to detail.
• Applying software development life-cycle principles and methodologies such as Agile and Kanban, to continuously improve our code and processes.
• Improving code quality and deployment processes, enhancing CI/CD pipelines.
