Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a growing, product-focused technology organisation. You will work hands‑on across the stack (Java, TypeScript and Angular) to build new functionality and improve existing applications in a modern AWS cloud environment.

This permanent, fully remote role is open to candidates based in the UK. You will address complex technical challenges, lead by example, own delivery from design through implementation, and help shape engineering

About The Role

This is a permanent, fully remote position open to candidates based in the UK, with a salary of up to £85,000. As Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will work hands‑on across the technology stack, using Java, TypeScript and Angular to build new functionality and improve existing applications and services.

You will help address complex technical challenges, contribute to sound architectural decisions and take ownership of delivery from design through implementation. The role also offers scope to influence technical direction and engineering standards. You will lead by example, support other engineers and help move projects forward without needing a formal management title. This is an opportunity to make a practical contribution to both the product and the way the engineering team works.

Qualifications

You will bring substantial commercial experience developing software with Java, strong TypeScript skills and excellent experience building applications with Angular. You should be comfortable working on both front‑end and back‑end systems, and have a strong understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems and the principles involved in designing scalable, resilient applications.

Significant experience with AWS and development in large‑scale cloud environments is important. You will also demonstrate sound software engineering practices, clear communication and the ability to take technical ownership. Experience mentoring colleagues or providing technical guidance is valuable, as is the confidence to contribute to technical discussions, challenge ideas constructively and influence decisions. We are looking for someone who combines a hands‑on approach with the judgement to make pragmatic engineering choices.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test and evolve full‑stack applications using Java, TypeScript and Angular. Build new product functionality and improve existing services, with attention to scalability, resilience, maintainability and quality. Work with REST APIs and distributed systems in a large‑scale AWS environment, helping investigate and resolve complex technical issues.

Take ownership of engineering work and drive projects forward, from exploring requirements and considering design options to delivering effective solutions. Contribute to architectural and technical decisions, and help establish consistent engineering standards and practices. Collaborate with colleagues across the product and engineering environment, communicate technical choices clearly and share knowledge with the wider team. Support and mentor less experienced engineers, lead by example and contribute to a culture of thoughtful, collaborative problem‑solving.
