Job summary

Intec Select is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to advance AI-powered language learning products. The role focuses on building scalable full-stack applications with Python, React and AWS, in a hybrid London setup with two days onsite. Prior experience with chat or messaging systems in education is essential.

You will help shape architecture, ensure secure software, and contribute to rapid delivery cycles while collaborating across Product, Design, QA and Engineering teams.

£450 per day | Outside IR35 | 3-6 Month Contract | Hybrid (London) - 2 days onsite | ASAP Start

Our trusted EdTech partner, supporting over 600 million users across 100 countries, is looking for an experienced Full Stack Engineer to help deliver the next generation of AI-powered language learning and assessment products.

Recent experience developing Chat or Messaging applications within the Education or Learning sector is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Python, React and AWS.


• Contribute to technical architecture, solution design and engineering best practice.


• Build high-quality, secure and performant software through short delivery iterations.


• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA and Engineering teams.


• Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers and continuously improve the platform.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for engineers, not just developers. You'll understand how software performs in production and be comfortable making architectural decisions and balancing technical trade-offs.

• Chat or Messaging platform integration


• Observability (logs, metrics, tracing and performance monitoring)


• Software architecture and distributed systems/microservices


• AI / LLM integration, with an understanding of model capabilities and limitations—not just using AI to generate code.

Highly desirable:

• EdTech or Education experience


• Java

• LangChain, Bedrock, SageMaker or similar GenAI tooling


• OAuth / JWT
