Job summary

Canopius is seeking a highly motivated Developer to support the technology roadmap and deliver world-class software to enable the business to achieve its goals. The role sits in a small, growing team delivering iterative software in a hybrid model.

Based in Manchester, you will design, develop and test front-end and back-end solutions using React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, Python RESTful services, and .NET/C#.

Qualifications

• Experience building modern front-end apps with React, Next.js and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong backend experience with Python RESTful APIs and .NET/C# services.
• Knowledge of SQL Server / Azure SQL and cloud-based architectures.
• Understanding of SOLID design and scalable, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and tests high-quality software solutions.
• Contributes across the software development lifecycle from analysis to deployment.
• Collaborates in agile teams to deliver full-stack solutions.
• Maintains and enhances existing applications and APIs.
• Develops and maintains frameworks of moderate to high complexity.
• Manages tasks and deliverables in line with project schedules.
• Translates complex requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions.
• Participates in design reviews, architecture discussions, and governance.
• Shares best practices around maintainability, testing and release readiness.
