A national security agency is seeking an experienced intelligence analyst to provide analytical products and assessments for counter-terrorism operations. The role involves handling sensitive information, collaborating with partners, and delivering clear strategic analyses to guide decision-making. Ideal candidates will possess strong analytical skills and experience in the security context.
Location: CTU, Birmingham, West Midland, B4 6NQ, GB (On-site)
Contract type – Full Time, 15 Month Fixed Term Contract
Grade – 6
The team are responsible for all strands of intelligence analysis within a local, regional, national and international context. You’ll be involved in the acquisition, evaluation, analysis and assessment of secret intelligence to support our priorities.
You’ll build up intelligence pictures, identifying potential risks and offenders in support of national priority counter terrorism operations. You’ll collate and validate intelligence, evaluating the reliability of sources and credibility of information using various analytical techniques to assess and interpret intelligence data. Working to a high level of integrity, you’ll routinely handle Secret information, and as such follow GPMS and other guidance with regard to handling and storing this data.
You’ll liaise and collaborate with colleagues to gather further information, which may help to piece together the whole picture and to give an in-depth strategic analysis to improve the CTPWM understanding of the many facets of terrorism and violent extremism.
