North Yorkshire Council is seeking a loader to safely collect refuse and recycling as part of a small crew within the county. You will handle bags, bins and recycling boxes, and operate lifting mechanisms on the vehicle while navigating streets with care.

Health and safety is a priority, and you will be a visible representative of the Council in the community. Early starts and occasional weekend work may be required to meet service needs.

Responsibilities

• Collect residual, garden, food waste and recyclables from domestic properties.
• Move bags, bins and recycling boxes and operate vehicle lifting mechanisms.
• Prioritise health and safety to protect crew, public and driver.
• Work early starts, with occasional weekend shifts.
