Job summary

Morgan Hunt UK Ltd is recruiting a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker for Brixton, joining a busy substance misuse service. You will work directly with individuals affected by drug and alcohol dependency and support them as they progress toward recovery.

Qualifications

• Previous direct experience working in substance misuse recovery services is essential
• Good understanding of drug and alcohol treatment pathways
• Experience delivering 1:1 recovery interventions and managing caseloads
• Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging circumstances
• Strong engagement, communication and organisational skills
• A practical, non-judgemental and person-centred approach

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of individuals with drug and alcohol support needs
• Completing assessments, risk management plans and individual recovery plans
• Delivering structured keyworking sessions and motivational interventions
• Supporting individuals with harm reduction, relapse prevention and treatment engagement
• Identifying barriers to recovery and helping service users access appropriate support
• Liaising with clinical teams, housing services and other partner agencies
• Maintaining accurate case records and monitoring recovery outcomes
