Job summary

Mercator Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Frontend Developer to join our agile teams, building and maintaining user interfaces for new digital services. You will work with designers and developers to translate designs into high quality websites, apps, HTML emails, and interactive experiences.

This full‑time, permanent role offers flexible working options where possible and may require travel to client sites UK wide.

Qualifications

• Use and implementation of modern front-end web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, REST, JSON
• Good understanding of web/agile technologies & protocols
• Demonstrable experience in automated testing solutions
• Proven problem solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts
• Experience with web frameworks and CI tools
• Experience with cloud platforms and version control systems

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy and operate outstanding digital services within an agile environment
• Translate designs into high quality websites, apps, HTML emails, and interactive experiences
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent user experience
• Contribute to development and continual enhancement of products
• Participate in rapid development of user driven digital prototypes
• Ensure accessibility and maintainability of digital services
• Mentor junior developers where necessary
• Contribute to automated test suites and CI processes
